We believe every learner thrives in an environment that nurtures health, happiness and holistic development.
Community Services
At Sage International school-IB (SIS IB), community service in the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) is implemented as an authentic "Student Action" that connects classroom learning to the real world. We integrate this directly into our Units of Inquiry (UOI). As students explore global concepts like environmental sustainability or human rights, they are naturally encouraged to identify local issues and take the lead. Emphasizing on student agency, SIS IB empowers learners to choose how they respond across five dimensions: direct service, advocacy, participation, social justice, and lifestyle choices. Our students actively co-design initiatives—organizing awareness campaigns, recycling drives, tree plantations, or donation camps. This inquiry-driven journey culminates in the Grade 5 PYP Exhibition (PYP), where students conduct independent research to launch a comprehensive, self-directed community action project. Throughout this process, SIS IB students document their challenges, outcomes, and personal growth in learning portfolios by embedding community service into the fabric of daily learning, SIS IB fosters empathy, leadership, and social responsibility, ensuring our students grow into compassionate global citizens.
